This policy outlines the procedures for the collection of medals at the Fish River Canoe Marathon, a canoeing event organized by the Fish River Canoe Marathon Committee. The policy specifies the medal categories for top-performing participants, namely the top 10 men and the top female participants. It also explains the process for collecting silver medals and provides options for medal retrieval.
Medal Categories
a. Top 10 Men: The top 10 male participants who complete the event will be awarded a Fish Gold Medal.
b. Men 11-50: Male participants who finish between 11th and 50th place will be awarded a Silver Medal.
c. Top Female Participants: The top female participants who complete the event in under 6 hours will receive a Fish Gold Medal. Female participants who complete the event in under 6 hours and 30 minutes will be awarded a Silver Medal.
Collection Procedures for Gold Medals
a. Top 10 Men: The Fish Gold Medals for the top 10 male participants will be presented during the official prize giving ceremony. The recipients are expected to attend the ceremony to receive their medals.
b. Top Female Participants: The Fish Gold Medals for the top-performing females who complete the event in under 6 hours will also be presented during the official prize giving ceremony. The recipients are expected to be present at the ceremony to receive their medals.
