Double Trouble, the chute at Collett’s Weir is 45m of great fun! It consists of a stepped chute off the weir which leads into a smooth-surfaced second chute. These are linked by a safety wall.
It is recommended that you practice this chute prior to the race as it is fast and challenging with a big stopper wave at the bottom. To practice the chute beforehand, enter the river just below Grassridge Dam and exit at Toastrack or Keith’s.
For those wishing to portage, you may do so on the RIGHT ONLY due to the installation of a bigger hydro-plant on the left side of the river.
